Storm damage to this Cumming home resulted when heavy winds from a thunderstorm tore a portion of roofing away from the house and rainwater was allowed to enter the interior. The carpeting and pad were totally soaked which left the subfloor loaded with moisture also. The drywall and studs were seriously water damaged. We needed to tear out the drywall and dispose of it so we could dry the studs and structural elements. WE extracted the water from the carpeting before removing it so we could dry the subflooring.
